Research Interests
I am an interdisciplinary marine mammal ecologist who works at the intersection of science and policy to address data gaps and develop tools that evaluate the impacts of human activities and climate change on wildlife and their habitats, enabling informed and balanced conservation efforts. My Ph.D. research used both qualitative and quantitative approaches for assessing the effects of human stressors and environmental change on marine mammals populations. Specifically, my Ph.D. research focused on understanding how changes in behavior and physiology affect an individual’s health, reproductive success, and survival, which can have cascading effects on population dynamics.
