Research Interests

I graduated in 2011 and posteriorly completed my Master degree in Biological Sciences in 2014, both at the Universidad de Chile. I am interested in morphology, biogeography and evolution of pinnipeds from the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. Currently I am doctoral student at University of California Santa Cruz under the direction of Drs. Paul Koch and Daniel Costa. For my dissertation I pretend to continue my research about evolutionary history of pinnipeds with a more comprehensive perspective, integrating different approaches (including paleobiological ones) while considering modern ecological traits.
