Michelle is interested in becoming a quantitative ecologist focusing primarily on polar regions and questions that are of value to conservation issues. She is a member of the Palmer Station Long Term Ecological Research Project, and will spend her Ph.D. building models to investigate the effects of climate change on humpback whale foraging behavior in the Western Antarctic Peninsula.
